Fresh Turmeric Rice

  • 2-inch piece of fresh turmeric, grated

  • 1 cup basmati rice

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt to taste

Ingredients:

  • 1. Rinse rice until the water runs clear.

  • 2. In a pot, heat olive oil, add grated turmeric, and stir for 30 seconds.

  • 3. Add rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.

  • 4. Cook for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and serve.

Fresh Turmeric Smoothie

  • 1-inch piece of fresh turmeric, peeled

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Ingredients:

  • 1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

  • 2. Serve immediately as a refreshing and healthy drink.
