Fresh Turmeric Rice
2-inch piece of fresh turmeric, grated
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt to taste
Ingredients:
1. Rinse rice until the water runs clear.
2. In a pot, heat olive oil, add grated turmeric, and stir for 30 seconds.
3. Add rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
4. Cook for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and serve.
Instructions:
Fresh Turmeric Smoothie
1-inch piece of fresh turmeric, peeled
1 banana
1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup ice cubes
Ingredients:
1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
2. Serve immediately as a refreshing and healthy drink.
